New Ownership for Stepping Stones
Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We hope that you and your family are having an enjoyable summer. Please allow us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. My name is Renee Spivey, and my husband Willis and I are excited to be the new owners of the Stepping Stones Academy as of this month. 

What an honor it is to become part of the Stepping Stones family. We’ve lived in the Lake Norman area for almost 10 years and are looking forward to working with the staff to continue providing your little ones with a safe, nurturing, educational, and fun preschool experience.

Willis is the owner and founder of Spivey Construction, a Lake Norman-based company that in fact built the Stepping Stones Academy clean-air facility. Please know that our commitment to our community extends beyond constructing buildings. We believe that people are the true foundations of a neighborhood: Those you meet, get to know, and interact with on a daily basis. Children have always been the focus of our community involvement, from assisting construction and fundraising efforts for the Dove House to partnering with the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center. Nothing is closer to our hearts than our children’s well being. It is a true labor of love. 

We know you selected Stepping Stones Academy because of the staff’s pledge to provide your children a welcoming and caring environment. Willis and I look forward to enhancing the services to which you’ve already become accustomed. You’ve likely noticed some positive physical changes already, including new inside decor, landscaping, and playground upgrades. We’re excited about initiatives we’ll soon be implementing, including an edible garden the children will participate in as part of our Healthy Foods Initiative.

Any kind of change can be unsettling, so please let us know if you have any questions. Our goal is to enhance the positive environment your child has already been experiencing.
